Sample violin pickle. Base mark: Pontil. Goldfields Pickle Rolled, formed type lip. Ornate violin shape. Pontil to base. 1 oz. 93 mm. 1850s
Excellent. Whilst this is fashioned on a Violin pickle bottle, it likely contained perfume. Barely a mark to be seen, maybe a scratch or two to be found on close inspection. The pontil has a couple of shallow flakes coming from it under the base. Stunning piece that is a must for any goldfields collection. Grade: 8.5 Estimate: $100 - 150
