J. A. Wilson / Palace Hotel. No base mark. (Victoria) Aerated Water Codd Applied top, spun finish. All way pour. Amethyst. 13 oz. 228 mm. 1910s
Very Good. Polished, only a light job that has not taken any details out at all. Couple of milky small fisheyes to upper lip, there is a small milky inner lip bruise as well over about 7 x 3 mm with another surface spot below this on inner lip. Some hazy spots still to be found. Some bits of copper stuck near inner base that will come out with some work. Tiny impact nick to lower front lip. Above the J there are three little impact nicks to the surface. Another lower down near the S. One or two little surface nicks to the rear. A short pitted scratch or two. Some other fine scuffs and scratches scattered around. A few fisheyes here and there. Strong embossing has some high point nicks and marks to be found. Very rare bottle in amethyst, this dark example is very easy on the eye! Grade: 7.3 Estimate: $250 - 300
