Ross's / Royal / Belfast / (Shield) / Registered Trade Mark. (Three Leaf Clovers embossed throughout). Base Mark: (British Registration Diamond) / UGB 10. Household Cordial Machine made. Clear. 26 oz. 356 mm. 1930s
Excellent. An enigma! This is a later machine made bottle, yet bears a registration diamond. Class III pertains to glass, this has a IIII mark, which if Roman numerals should be IV, and even then Class 4 is earthenware. Oh, and the registration diamond was only used up until 1883. Patch of inner haze. Fold in glass towards bottom across a clover, there is a small flake to the clover in this spot. A few scuffs and scratches and a few tiny fisheyes. Similar earlier bottles have stars on them as opposed to clovers. A really unusual item! Grade: 8.3 Estimate: $30 - 40
