Trade Mark / (Kangaroo) / Lithgow. Two lines of coggle marks around the middle. (New South Wales) Pottery Lithgow Ant trap type stoneware bowl. Dark Honey or Treacle glaze. 162 mm diameter. 1890s
Good. On the outer rim is a 20 x 18 mm chip. Also 10 x 4 and 4 x 3 mm chips around from this. On the inner side of the outer rim is a 10 x 5 mm chip and down from this a horizontal 35 mm fracture (doesn't show through to the outside however). On the inner rim of the inner bowl is a shallow 12 x 7 mm chip with a couple of nibbles around from this. Some general wear, scuffs and scratches. Lovely glaze and decoration. Nice piece of Lithgow pottery. Grade: 6.9 Estimate: $80 - 120
