D. B. (English Porter?). No potters stamp. Beer Stoneware Cork stoppered. Dump. Impressed. 1 Pint. 190 mm. 1850s
Very Good. Couple of fine scrapes to the lip edge. Some fine shoulder wear. A few spots of glaze wear to the body. Tiny surface flake or two. Under the base is a very shallow 18 x 12 mm flake from a potters lump, this may be a potters pull? Some crude making marks and glaze drips. Well impressed. Whilst Australian found, this is a typical English type porter, maybe Dublin Brewery (and yes I know Dublin is not in England). A nice, and early piece. Grade: 7.7 Estimate: $30 - 50
