Soyer's / Nectar. No makers mark. (United Kingdom) (Late Kingsley Durdin Collection).. Aerated Water. Torpedo. Applied top. Thin, torpedo shape body with bulged out neck. Aqua. 10 oz. 267 mm. 1850s
Very Good. (7.6). 2 x 2 mm surface flake to right lip edge, this is exceedingly minor. Some annealing splits around the inner neck. Dull patch to right neck. Neck bulge has some scuffs around it, nothing deep though. Slightly deeper scuff above the Y of Soyer, another lesser scuff next to this. Some very fine surface scuffs to the wide part of the body, barely even worth mentioning. Some very light inner haze, this has been oiled internally. 5 mm deep scratch to lower rear. Lower left near base point has a crescent shaped fisheye. Nice example of this very important piece of Worldwide interest. Very rare and early, this is the first we have sold. This is from the late Kingsley Durdin collection. Estimate: $2000-2500
