P&O (Peninsular and Oriental Steam Navigation Company) has a rich history in shipping, dating back to 1837 when it was founded as a mail delivery service. The company is recognized as the oldest cruise line, with its passenger services beginning in 1844. P&O played a significant role in Australia's shipping history, beginning with mail contracts in 1852 and later establishing the first cruise from Sydney in 1932. Outer rim has a scrape through the glaze which has discoloured over a bit over 10 mm. Another little scrape or two to outer rim. Fine scratches and a bit of wear. 5. Good. 10 x 7 mm flat chip under rim edge, another 15 x 6 mm example as well. Some discoloured wear to heel. Some scratches and fine wear to the face from use over the years. 6. Good. The Orient Pacific line had its genesis in 1887, when the firms of F. Green & Co. and Anderson and Co. purchased four new steamers from the Pacific Steam Navigation Co. of Liverpool. Chip to inner rim is glazed over from making. Rust and wear around the rim. Stains and discolouration scattered around. Flake to heel, deep scracth from this to potter stamp mid base. Dark hairline to face. 7. VG. A bit discoloured. Some knocks and dints. Some little stains. Some scratches. 8. Good. Cup has rusty discolouration throughout. There are a few chips and flakes around the rim. Crazing throughout. Saucer has three chips to the rim too and another flake or two. This is crazed with a little discolouration too. A few flakes to the heel. Both the cup and saucer have a green 7 under the base, these are definitely a matching pair. Estimate: $50-100
