Near Mint. (9). 10 x 3 mm glaze scrape to front lip edge with a 5 mm hairline along lip edge from here. Inner lip has some dark glaze pools, there are some nicks amongst this, pretty sure this is all from making. Couple of little glaze pops to the shoulder. Front base heel has a few little sliver type marks which are potters pulls from making. A few scratches to the highly shiny glaze. Spigot hole has a cork in place. Brilliant example of an exceedingly rare demijohn, the first we have ever sold. You will not find a better example. We have the large one in this auction as well! Estimate: $2000-3000
