"Pear" Oil. Sharp pontil to base. Goldfields Salad Oil Called a Pear oil because of its fluted Pear type shape. Three rings lower neck, three rings mid neck. Crude applied and tool finished top. Bluish-aqua with a sharp pontil. 4 oz. 175 mm. 1840s-1850s
Very Good.  Polished.  Inside has some remaining etched milky stain.  Outside has some minor marks, scuffs and scratches.  Couple of small impact marks to the upper half.  This is a very rare variety of a standard form - such a small size and with a sharp pontil.  Great little bottle. Grade: 7.6 Estimate: $200 - 300
