G. H. Elliott / Melbourne. Base: M. Household Cordial Petals around shoulder, rings around lower neck. Spun finished with double collar top. Aqua. 26 oz. 313 mm. 1900s
Very Good. Nice solid bottle and quite heavy for a cordial. The outer rim of the lip has wear and 3 or 4 small flakes. The top ring at the lower neck has a shallow 6 x 2 mm flake to the front and a 6 x 4 mm chip at the back. Some wear and marks around the base, including some nibbled flakes in a small patch near the front, and an impact horseshoe fisheye to the rear. Overall the bottle has a slightly scuffy appearance with numerous tiny fisheyes and some scratches as well, but not much in the way of major problems. Embossing is extremely strong. This is a really nice example of quite a rare Melbourne cordial. Grade: 7.4 Estimate: $300 - 400
