Plain amber whiskey shaped bottle. Base Mark: (Modern AGM monogram) F541 (Star) / A. Label: "Sedna", Prepared in Australia and bottled by B. Seppelt & Sons Ltd, for Deans, Logan & Co. Ltd, Belfast. Miscellaneous Jug Machine made. Amber. 26 oz. 270 mm. 1940s
Very Good. Some scuffs and scratches to the glass surface. Some inner grime and the odd spider or two! Labels have some stains and the odd tear or two. Main body label is oversized and overlaps itself at the rear. A fascinating product from Seppelt in South Australia, a great go with for the jug that is also being sold here. The label says Sedna Medicated Wine, this preparation is to be used as a medicine only. Sedna Kola Wine! That does not sound refreshing, exhilarating, stimulating and nourishing, but that is what they claim on the label. At 33% proof spirit, it is one strong wine! A classic claim on the label is that it is great for public speakers, enabling them to overcome the Nightmare of Stage Fright! If only they don't fall off the stage in a drunker stupour! Grade: 7.7 Estimate: $30 - 40
