Four Stoneware Inks: 1 & 2: Large and small bottles, both: W. G. Nixey / 12 Soho Square / London. Large one has a potters stamp: Doulton & Co Limited / 1 / Lambeth. 3 & 4: Two sizes of registered Doulton Square Lip inks. Ink Stoneware 1 & 2: Both are all white, impressed. 1. Good. Looks better but has a large flake chip under left base over about 42 x 20 mm. Small base edge chip around from this. Near perfect otherwise, even the print is crisp on this one. 2. Very Good. Couple of little flakes under base. Crazed throughout. This has a dark speckled glaze from making. Impression is a little indistinct in places. NIce pair of bottles.3. Excellent. Little scrape type mark through the glaze to outer right lip. Couple of glaze nicks to the body. Plenty of other marks, but pretty much all from making. 4. Very Good. Small glaze flake to mid body. Flaked shallow chip to base edge next to potters stamp. Some crazed lines bordering on hairlines in places. Making marks like the bigger one. Grade: N/A Estimate: $30 - 50
