Unknown. (N/A). Listed as unknown condition, being plaster it is impossible to tell if any restoration beyond paint touch ups has occurred. Under the base there is a deep scrape in the middle into the plaster, the mid part of this base has a coating which is flaking in places. Paintwork has definitely been touched up in places, for instance you can see where the paint has flaked to his chin, a larger flake below his right ear and several other flakes around the statue which have been coloured to match the non flaked colours in those regions. There are some little scratches and flakes that aren't touched up, leaving white spots from the plaster underneath. I think the bottom section has been painted, not sure if there was any restoration here or not? There are no obvious joins or sections of fill, but again, being plaster, it is hard to ascertain if any work has been done apart from the paintwork. Regardless, this is a great item which is highly sought after and a must for the Beenleigh collectors out there. Estimate: $500-750
