S. Mason. No potters stamp. (Albury/Wodonga Bottle). (New South Wales & Victoria). Ginger Beer. Impressed. Dump shape. Salt Glaze. Impressed. 10 oz. 161 mm. 1850s-1860s

Very Good. (7.1). Lip is worn with some fleabites all around. Wear all around the shoulder and thick bands of wear around the body and base edge of the bottle. Shallow 10 x 10 mm body chip to the lower left. 12 x 3 mm chip or gouge to the lower front. Scratches. 10 x 9 mm chip under the left base edge. Kind of rough but also a crude bottle. Good strong stamp. Very scarce early ginger beer. These bottles were probably used by Samuel Mason senior both at Albury and Wodonga during his very early days of ginger beer making. Estimate: $300-600
