W. Pedley / Castlereagh St / Coonamble. Smooth base. (New South Wales). Aerated Water. Cork Stoppered. Skittle shape. Blob top. Spun finished top. Dark natural sun-coloured amethyst. 6 oz. 183 mm. 1910s
Fair. (5). We sold this bottle in Auction 11 with the following description: "Displays well. Has a light haze over the surface. At the front base edge is a fracture over 25 mm, this then has two "spikes" that go up into the bottle about 20 mm and 10 mm. On the other side near the base is a 7 x 5 mm burst bubble. Back shoulder has a large open bubble from manufacture that is just rough around the edge. Another little manufacturing mark to the front lip. Dark colour disguises the fracture at the base a bit making this a worthy shelf bottle." This time around the bottle has been polished. The large open bubble to rear is no longer here, yes it is the same bottle, this bubble has been ground out. The front lip mark is also no longer visible, so has been ground out too. Blutak under the heel. Estimate: $20-40
