Cobalt quilted salad oil. Base mark: Registered (with reversed S) / (British Registration Diamond) / 30 May 1850. Also has a pontil. (Kilner Bros., United Kingdom). Goldfields. Salad Oil. Applied lip ring and flare lip. 4 neck ring, tapered diamond patern neck above three rings around mid body, tapered lower body with panels and a slightly inset base. Cobalt. 13 oz. 244 mm. 1850
Repaired. (0). Top has been replaced between the first and second neck rings, you will see where the indent here is not quite as defined. A superb job, the correct top has been used though this looks to be painted and so probably was an aqua top. Little bit of dullness. A few scratches and minor marks. One of the most sought after of the salad oils, for obvious reasons. A great shelf example that looks like a good example with the top repair. Estimate: $200-300
