Sold for A$220

(British Coat of Arms) / Rhubarb (amongst other decoration). Base: Pontil Scar. (Too big for Australia Post). (United Kingdom). Medicine. Chemist. Very Large Specie Jar. Brown background. Original lid. About 500 mm. 1870s-1890s

Good. (6). A bit of dust which will clean off. Hard lump to rear. Some scratches. The ornate inner painted design is very poor, this is heavily flaked and has been repainted in a flat matt gold colour to try and disguise it which has been effective, but there is now no longer a lion or unicorn, the word rhubarb has gone - you can still see ghosted details. This remains a decent example with no damage, and the original lid is great with just some minor flaking around the rim region. Some scratches to this too. Estimate: $300-500
