(British Coat of Arms) / Sulphur (amongst other decoration) / Maw. Son & Thompson London. Base: Pontil Scar. (Too big for Australia Post). (United Kingdom). Medicine. Chemist. Large Specie Jar. Yellow background. No lid. About 455 mm. 1870s-1890s
Excellent. (8.5). A bit of dust which will clean off. Some paint flaking to the inner lip. Near on perfect paint work throughout, a stunning example. The only flaking is a bit around the Dieu Et Mon Droit at the bottom of the coat of arms where some of the background colour has flaked a little. Far better than most of these types of jars which have quite heavy flaking in general. A few scratches here and there. This does not have a lid. A truly wonderful example all round. Estimate: $1000-1500
