This bottle is the property of / (Bird in Flight) / The Bluebird Cordial Co. Base mark: AGM. (Hobart, Tasmania). Aerated Water. Crown Seal. Machine made. Aqua. 10 oz. 227 mm. 1922
Very Good. (7.7). A bit of surface rust under the lip crown. A few tiny nicks to the outer lip crown. Lightly scuffed line of about 30 mm to mid right, mostly behind the seam. Some light haze internally to lower left, possibly contents residue stain which may soak out entirely, regardless, it is very minor. A few nibbled marks and some fine wear to the seam near the base edge. A little very minor high point wear to some of the embossing. Some usage wear to the heel. Some fine scratches and light scuffs. Making fold to rear neck. Full of seed bubbles, a great, early and extremely rare bottle that we have never seen for sale! The Bluebird Cordial Co was started in July 1922 at Tregear's Buildings in Hobart by A. Plumpton Wilson and Wm Berry who were old friends. The friendship soured quickly with court proceedings in February around the dissolution of the partnership and sale of the assets, this company was only in operation for a matter of months! Estimate: $300-400
